Ruhin furrowed her brow briefly at Morgan's reaction to the Klingon cadet. Not that she knew it was necessarily because he was part Klingon but somehow Ruhin figured there wasn't much else noteworthy in the cadet's bio. Except perhaps the bit about writing holonovels.

This thought was quickly tossed to the side as she decided that the meet n greet was pretty well covered and began to usher the cadets out of the Transport Room, after a quick non-verbal ok from Commander Diaz.

Looking back over her shoulder to be sure that the Klingon cadet was on his way and wouldn't be left behind, she followed behind as Pizzo took over guiding the cadets to the Security Department.

Ellwood and CPO Pizzo entered the transporter room at 1555 hours on the dot and walked over to stand next to the Captain and XO. "Captain." Ruhin acknowledged along with her accompanying senior-most non-comm tactical officer.
Ruhin smiled inwardly as she saw the shimmering of the transport beginning, "They have no idea what they are in for..." she said under her breath so that only Pizzo and possibly Morgan, who both stood next to her on either side, could hear her. The Tac officer only nodded with a wide grin. First off the platform was "Cadet First Class Sally Freeman reporting for duty, Sir! Ruhin supressed a laugh, greeted the young woman who stood a little bit _too_ erect for posture's sake and then introduced her to the rest of the assembled officer, Captain first. "I do believe, Captain, if I read her bio correctly, that she is an avid rock climber..."

Background
Regina was adopted by human parents, Regina and John Ellwood, of Portland Oregon. They had taken a number of "vacations" to Qo'Nos on historical study missions and discovered Regina as a small infant with badly burned hands and scarred face, on one of their walks where they got lost in the less savory parts of the city. It took a good 5 years and a long battle of red tape (Federation and Klingon) before they could claim Regina as their own.

The name Regina comes from Anna's grandmother but does not indicate anything about how she was raised. She was raised with full knowledge and practice of Klingon custom as both of her parents were well versed through their research and own personal interest. She came to understand herself as both Klingon by birth and Human by adoption.

She was a skittish and frightened little girl - having suffered much abuse as an infant and an uncertain toddler-hood before the adoption was official.

As an adult, Regina is a fairly serious Klingon female with a great deal of inner confidence and strength. She has a good sense of humor when she warms up and can be quite hotheaded and opinionated. On the other hand, her sense of honor and respect is well grounded and her devotion to her parents and to Starfleet is rock solid.
